After a couple years of dreaming up wild ideas for how to make our Uranium notebook, it's finally here and it's everything we hoped it would be.

From the start, we knew we had to find a way to make it glow, and wouldn't you know it, that's surprisingly hard to pull off in a notebook without actual radioactive material. After testing a variety of options, we stumbled upon a manufacturer of offset printing ink who specialized in making Pantone matched inks with UV reactive pigments. In this instance the whole notebook is printed in Pantone 802U (Only the cross grid is UV reactive) To make the notebook glow, all you need it a UV light (Black Light).

Since 802U is a fairly light green, we decided to switch to the White color Tomoe River paper so the color popped as much as possible. In addition, since it was so commonly requested, this  batch of notebooks uses 52gsm Tomoe River paper rather than the 68gsm we had in our last Tomoe notebooks. As a result, we have increased the page count to 352 pages to keep the notebook closer to the thickness of Iodine all with no change to the price.

Another departure from our previous notebooks most of you will hopefully appreciate, Uranium and Electron are our first notebooks that don't have Dot Grid. For Uranium, we chose Cross-Grid, which isn't drastically different than dots, but it's a ruling pattern we've been dying to try out.

For color choices on the notebook, we decided a solid fluorescent green notebook was a bit too much, so the fabric cover is a silvery grey like elemental Uranium. One bookmark is Cake Uranium Yellow and the other is a radioactive green that also fluoresces under UV light.

Note 1: We are aware of the extra dots misprinted onto the back of the packaging. There was a mistake at the packaging shop, but we did not catch it in time and won't be reprinting the packaging.

Note 2: Since this is 52gsm Tomoe River, there is inevitably some show-through from cross-grid or your writing on other pages. We've found placing a sheet of white paper behind the page you're writing on helps out tremendously.

Standard A5 Size
No reason to reinvent the wheel here. Special notebook sizes don't feel so special anymore when you want to buy a cover for them.
Lays Flat
Our combination of a Smyth-sewn binding and a three-piece cover result in a notebook that will lay flat from the first page to the last.
Tomoe River Paper
With 352 pages of 52GSM Tomoe River paper in White, there's plenty of space for you to work on anything from your own theory of relativity to the arguably as important grocery list of relativity.
Twin Bookmarks
Why limit yourself to just one bookmark when you can have two!
Linen Cover
Our notebooks use a soft, yet durable, linen hardcover to provide a luxurious tactile feeling.
Subtly Scientific
The elements emission spectrum is printed on the edge of the paper, its Bohr model and a periodic table inside the front cover, and the elements square foil stamped on the spine of the notebook. It's a conversation piece if you want it to be, but subtle enough if you don't.
